Tishomingo County Welcomes Iuka Sports Academy

A Comprehensive Sports and Fitness Center for Families Opens its Doors to the Community

Iuka Sports Academy, LLC is a 20,000 sq/ft full-service Sports and Fitness Center for the whole family. It boasts two courts which can be utilized for basketball, tennis, volleyball, and pickleball. It has 6 batting cages with 5 self-fed pitching machines. The cages can be retracted to offer a 4,000 sq/ft turf area for agility and indoor practices for rainy days.

The fitness side has a 13-piece pin select circuit, 2 water rowers, two squat racks, assortment of free weights and dumbbells, a theater cardio room where you can watch a movie on a projector screen with surround sound, and a studio room for group classes. It will offer tanning services along with a sauna. Iuka Sports Academy, or ISA, does not have shared locker rooms, instead we opted for 7 personalized individual bathrooms, 3 of which have showers.

ISA works off of a membership structure with options for individual adult or youth, multi-kid, and family. We are staffed 7 days a week for our youth members where adults have 24/7 access. Memberships include scheduled classes which are posted monthly for ages 5 to 99+. It also includes use of the facility sports areas when not already reserved for classes or by other members.

Youth classes include agility, baseball, softball, volleyball, basketball, ping pong, cornhole, dance fitness, tennis and more! Adult classes include ping pong, cornhole, 3 on 3 pick up basketball, dance fitness, senior citizen group fitness and more! We are constantly adding to our group class list as our memberships grow. ISA also provides classes for our homeschool community with morning youth classes on M-W-F.

On days when the Tishomingo County Schools are off, ISA offers classes starting at 8:30am so parents can drop their youth off with a packed lunch and spend the day with a great lineup of classes for ages 5-13 years.

ISA currently has one afterschool program running that provides a tutor to help with homework and studying. After they finish their homework, they participate in different fitness activities. ISA will be adding additional afterschool programs for martial arts and dance.

Being an ISA member also gives you great discounts on 1 on 1 training for all sports. Other add-on programs include youth and adult martial arts taught by Jack Murphy who is a 5th degree black belt in Nisei Go-Ju-Ryu Karate/Ju Jitsu. He also is a Brazilian Ju-Jitsu Blue Belt under Professor Eduardo Mori at Salt Lake City Utah. We hope to add services for Cheer and Tumbling this winter.

ISA was built for our community. We welcome parents to work out while the kids participate in our classes or free playtime. Our basic principles for all youth classes start with re-enforcing respect and work ethic. We work hard, but make sure to have a little fun along the way. ISA is a Gym for the Whole Family.

Local baseball legend Tommy Dean was our first adult member to join. The facility was built by Mario Barnes with the help of NEMPDD and Mr. Nicky McRae as well as First American Bank.
