If you have called or stopped by the news office in the past couple of weeks, you might have had the honor of meeting our new employees.

We want to take this opportunity to introduce our new team members. Karen Robertson of Iuka wears many hats. She is the Business Manager and the Advertising Sales Manager. She comes to us with prior sales experience and hit the ground running in her first week, already bringing in new sales. Karen is currently working on increasing advertisements for the newspaper while contacting area businesses for upcoming special editions. We will be having the Graduation special edition and our Lake Life Magazine. If you are interested and want to inquire about any of these advertising opportunities, call the office to speak with her. The office phone number is 662-423-2211 or email her at karen.robertson@tishco.news.

She is the proud mother of 5-year-old Azlynn Barrow, the daughter of Kevin Robertson, and the granddaughter of William and Wanda Crossett. When she is not working, she spends her time with her daughter.

Nikki Glidewell of Iuka is our Managing Editor. She is working to bring new life to the paper while covering all areas of Tishomingo County and the surrounding community. “We have some exciting ideas in the works for the upcoming issues. It will take a little time to implement, but we cannot wait to see our readers enjoy what we have planned,” said Nikki. If you have any news or knowledge of things happening in the area, call the office at 662-423-2211 or email her at

nikki.glidewell@tishco.news.

Nikki is married to Cory Glidewell, and they have three children: Kylie, Chloe, and Cam Glidewell. Nikki is the daughter of Gary and Cheri Bullard and the granddaughter of the late Herman and Bonnie Bullard. Nikki graduated Cum Laude from the University of Memphis in December 2023. She received a bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in Professional Writing and a minor in Public Relations. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and supporting her kids in their activities.

Of course, you will still be able to see long-time employee and specialist in all things Tishomingo County, Charlotte McVay, around the office.
