Donald Arrington
Donald George Arrington, 82, of Iuka, Mississippi, formerly of Smyrna, Georgia, died on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka. Donald was employed at General Motors in Georgia for 35 years. He also owned his own business, Done Right Roofing. Donald was a member of Iuka Lodge #94 F&AM and a member of the Scottish Rite. He enjoyed gardening, reading, and watching National Geographic on television. Donald was a member of Glendale Baptist Church, was a former Sunday School teacher, and sang in the choir.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Amelia Ann Arrington; his son, Michael Arrington; his stepson, Gary Cooley (Gina); and his brother-in-law, Larry Bobo. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Wallace and Addie Leola Buford Arrington; his parents-in-law, Rufus and Thelma Bobo; his brother-in-law, Garry Bobo; and his half-sister, Christine Aaron.
Services were Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Glen, officiated by Bro. Jon Haimes. Burial will follow in Belmont Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will include Willard Strachan, W.L. Clayton, and Larry Cooley. Donations may be made in Donald’s honor to the Salvation Army.
