I, Kenny Wayne Carson, am asking for your support as Mayor for the City of Iuka. I am currently
serving as Interim Mayor for the city I love. I have been serving as Vice Mayor/Alderman for the
last 7 years. If elected Mayor, I will continue serving ALL of the citizens of Iuka with integrity,
transparency, dignity, and respect.
Following graduation from Iuka High School, I attended NEMCC and graduated from the
University of Mississippi. I have over 30 years working with the public in various endeavors as
well as 11 years owning and managing a successful business. I am pro-business.
I am very active in Iuka and other communities in our county. Besides serving our great city as
Vice Mayor/Alderman, I am a member of the Tishomingo County Development Foundation and
a board member on the Tishomingo County Community Coalition (TC3). I was awarded the
TCDF “Volunteer of the Year” for Tishomingo County and also a CMO graduate (Certified
Municipal Officials) of the Mississippi Municipal League.
Proudly, I am the son of Earl Carson and the late Kathy Linton Carson. My greatest blessings in
life are my two beautiful daughters, Kennedy Ann Carson and Kassidy Jane Melton. I am
proudly known as “Papa K” to my two granddaughters Mia and Mel. I enjoy spending time with
my family, friends, and extended family. I enjoy fishing, playing disc golf, and attending SEC
sporting events.
To you the citizens and voters of Iuka, I’m asking for your vote and support, but most
importantly, your prayers to do this job to the best of my ability and in the best interest of YOU
the citizens of our great city. As in the past, I will continue to serve and work for ALL of Iuka. On
Tuesday May 14th, please elect Kenny Wayne Carson for Mayor of Iuka.
