The Pride of the Tribe starts band camp next week and will be at Iuka Walmart this Friday afternoon collecting donations of camp supplies, funds, and some members will even be performing. They will be handing out moon pies and RC colas, too!
According to 2022-23 band booster president April Labbee, director Bradley Strom and the kids will have band camp July 18th-22nd, and July 25-29th. It’s the hottest possible time, but they have a lot of work to do to live up to recent years of excellence.
Labbee says they expect 90 kids and staff to attend, and are thankful for the donations of meals, snacks and water they have already received. Friday, folks can donate cash or checks to support these hard-working kids, or they can buy cases of water and place them right in the TCHS Band trailer, which will be parked on site at Walmart.
Be sure to come out and support the Pride of the Tribe, and start getting in the “Friday Night Lights” spirit!
The band is headed up by Director Bradley Strom, assisted by Mary Phillips and the color guard is directed by Ann Marie Blake.
Band Booster board members are Labbee as president; Diane Kennedy, vice-president; Alison Parker, secretary; Heather Wicks, treasurer, and Becky Wilburn, reporter. You can contact any of these if you want to donate.
