James Earl Bonds “007”, 71, of Iuka, Mississippi, died on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, surrounded by his family and friends. He devoted 40 years to carpentry along side his beloved brother and partner, Sammy Bonds. He was a life-long member of Hubbard Salem Baptist Church and a founding member of the Coleman Park Fire Department. He loved spending time with his one and only grandson, Collin James “Big Boy.” James had an immaculate eye for detail. In his leisure time, he enjoyed painting and wood working with his like-minded creative daughter. He loved just about anything with an engine. James had a passion for antique cars and trucks, especially the Corvette Stingray. James had a huge admiration for yard work. You couldn’t pay a visit to him or Diana without finding them busy, outside. Anything that was broke, he could fix it. He was always a helping hand to his community, and he always carried a smile wherever he could be found. He fought a good fight; he kept the faith. Always and forever, Our Pappy!

James is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Diana; his daughter, Anna Bonds of Iuka; his grandson, Collin Seaton; his siblings, Shirley McAnally of Iuka, Sammy Bonds of Iuka, and Sandra Coptane (William) of Nettleton, Mississippi; his aunts, Mattie Floyd (Noonon) of Iuka and Nelda Depoyster of Glen; a treasured aunt and caregiver, Joyce Jones of Iuka; his brothers-in-law; Bill Stevens (Tina) of Glen, Audie Parker (Melissa) of Glen, and Jimmy Stevens (Lindsey) of Janesville, WI; his sister-in-law, Glenda McClemore (Anthony) of Glen; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Christine Bonds; his son, Chris Stevens; an infant sister, Janice Bonds; maternal grandparents, Walter and Julie Jones; paternal grandparents, Nora and Toy Bonds; and his mother and father-in-law, Linda and Enoch “Al” Eubanks. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, Mississippi is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, July 29, 2022, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Services are scheduled for Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Jerry Bonds and Bro. Ellis Floyd. Burial will follow in Hubbard Salem Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roy Bates, Jr., Brandon Turner, Prentiss Turner, Lucas Turner, Jackson Turner, Nathan Brown, and Jeremy Stevens. Honorary pallbearers will be Bro. Jerry Bonds, Larry Bonds, Danny Holland, Noonan Floyd, and Ellis Floyd.
