Champion, Lady Braves Volleyball, hosted Louisville in the 1st Round of the MHSAA Class 4A Playoffs on Saturday, 10-7-2023, and made quick work of the Louisville team. The win in straight sets, 25-5, 25-7, 25-9, took just under an hour.
On Tuesday, 10-10-2023, the 1-4A Champion, Lady Braves Volleyball, hosted a very good Newton County team in the 2nd Round of the MHSAA Class 4A Playoffs. In a back-and-forth game, the Lady Braves won the 1st set 25-5, with Newton County taking a hard-fought 2nd set 25-27. The Lady Braves won the 3rd set 25-9 before losing the 4th set 22-25. The overtime set would eventually go to Newton County 15-9, with Newton County moving on to the 3rd round of the playoffs.
The Lady Braves won the program’s first-ever Region 1-4A Championship in program history and finished the season 13-8 overall. Congratulations to the players and coaches on a great volleyball season.
