Robert George “Bob” Grammer, 83, of Iuka, Mississippi, died on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at his residence. Bob was a longtime member of Spring Hill Methodist Church and loved attending for many years. He served in the United Stated Navy for four years on the U.S.S. Essex and was a member of the V.A. 106 Squadron.

Bob was a man of many talents and could do anything he set his mind to. He was a bailiff for the courts, did prisoner transport for the police, did construction for several people, worked at J.C. Lambert Hardware after his retirement, and held many other positions throughout his life. For most of his working life, he was a millwright, which he did for over 20 years at Prosser at the Yellow Creek Port.

Bob liked to keep himself busy and could frequently be found either doing yardwork, fishing, or woodworking. He was very proud of his lawn and always kept it mowed clean and kept up beautifully. He was constantly building something, whether it was one of his stunning birdhouses or a whole new creation he designed himself. In his free time, Bob loved spending time with his family and taking his precious dog, Bella, on walks. He could find joy in everything. No matter where he was or what he was doing, he had a good time and was just an all-around joy to be with.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Faye Grammer; his children, Charles Grammer (Angela), Robert Grammer, Jr. (Janette), and Danny Grammer (Amber); his step-children, Kathy Gann (Jeff) and Greg Bishop (Bethany); his grandchildren, Megan Shaul, Kelsey Slovinski, and Madison Grammer; his step-grandchildren, Katie Tipton (Adam), Keith Gann (Kristen), and Milli Bishop; his step-great-grandchildren, Aubrey Kate Tipton, Lincoln Tipton, Lucy Gann, and Lottie Gann; his sisters, Mary Neuheimer, Izzy Lau, and Peggy Blackwell; his brothers, Sam Grammer and George Grammer III; and his favorite furry friend, Bella Bama Grammer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Beverly Farver. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Spring Hill Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. J.B. Burns. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service time at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either Spring Hill Methodist Church or to St. Jude Children’s Research hospital.
