Record setting performance for Moore against Saltillo

This week the Lady Braves had stunning victories against Saltillo and Belmont.
On Tuesday against Saltillo, they won 64-37. The story of the night was Reese Moore and her 41 point performance. This snaps the single game points record, and it really shows how special of a talent the Lady Braves have.
On Friday against Belmont, the Lady Braves were ready. They won the game 72-61. Leading scorers were Moore with 29 points and Lila Sanderson with 14 points. The big win gives them momentum to take into next week, as they play at Heritage Academy on Tuesday and at Hardin County on Thursday.
The boys team had a hard week in the office. On Tuesday against Saltillo, they couldn’t get anything going. The final score was 84-36. They looked to rebound against Belmont on Friday. They could not, as they took a 75-60 loss to their cross town rival. These boys are looking better, however, as they are set to take on Heritage on Tuesday and Hardin County on Thursday.
Soccer
Soccer had an interesting week to say the least. The girls team went 1-2 over the week with a 2-1 win over South Pontotoc on Monday, but a 7-0 loss to Itawamba on Tuesday and a 6-2 loss at Booneville on Thursday was a bit deflating. They sit at 2-3 going into next week’s slate of games.
The boys' week was less fortunate. They lost to South Pontotoc 9-2 on Monday, 7-0 to Itawamba on Tuesday and 3-0 at Booneville on Thursday. They sit at 0-5, and look to get a better run at these next two games. Both teams will play at TCPS on Tuesday and at home against Mooreville on Thursday.

Bowling keeps their hot start going to the season with a big win last week. They defeated Alcorn Central, making them 2-0 on the season. This win had to be sweet for Coach Wright, as he defeated his former school. Also, cross country wrapped up their season last Wednesday.
