The Army Corps of Engineers officially opened the beaches at Bay Springs Lake May 2nd.
Piney Grove Campground is operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Tishomingo County. It is located on the west side of Bay Springs Lake just off of Prentiss County Road 3501, which can be reached from Mississippi Highways 30 and 4. For information about current camping fees, contact the Bay Springs Site Office at (662) 423-1287 or the gatehouse at the campground at (662) 728-1134.
Gate Attendants are on duty from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. The campground attendants lock gates to secure the area at 10 p.m.
Piney Grove Campground offers a variety of camping sites. All sites have an impact pad, picnic table and grill, fire ring, lantern post, and water and electrical hookups.
Amenities include an amphitheater, boat ramp for campers, laundry building, two multi-use game courts, two playground areas, picnic shelter, two concession buildings, three fishing piers, a fish cleaning station, three bathhouses, trailer dump station, and a nearby beach.
Old Bridge Beach is popular all summer long and is only $4 a vehicle up to 8 persons. It’s on the southwest side of the lake, just off Mississippi Highway 4 and Prentiss County Road 3501. There’s a nice playground area, fishing pier, restrooms, outdoor showers, covered picnic areas you can reserve, a volleyball court, and a well-tended white sand beach!
