Congratulations to Mrs. Beth Davis for the well-deserved honor of being voted Best Citizen by our readers!
A former teacher, Beth is active in Iuka Pilot Club, where she is currently serving as president, and served as its first-ever president in 1982! She served a term as Iuka alderman, serves with IDEA, Iuka Boys & Girls Club, and CREATE Foundation, participates with her family in the St. Jude Trail Ride annually, and was a huge part of the Battle of Iuka Sesquicentennial Committee. Whether it’s handing out snacks or soup during a downtown Iuka event, or dressing in full period costume for events like Dick-ens Christmas, Beth is always an enthusiastic and graceful participant in whatever is going on to make Iuka a better place to live and work.
She and her husband Neil are members at Iuka United Methodist and live in one of Iuka's many historic antebellum homes, which she often opens for entertaining during special events. They have two daughters, Amanda Ryan and grandson Nate of Louisville, Kentucky, and Jennifer Wallin and husband Jim, and grandchildren Davis and Leslie Elizabeth Wallin of Clarksville, Tennessee.
