TISHOMINGO - Tommy Lee Johnson, 70, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Tishomingo, Mississippi to Enis and Elsie Martin Johnson. He worked as a master logger for 47 years and was a member of Carters Branch Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 4, at 2 p.m. at Liberty Church of Christ, Dennis, Mississippi with Bro. John Malone officiating. The burial will be in Tishomingo Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Mississippi will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his children- Sharon Colburn, Katrina Pire, Latasha Gandy (Stephen), Tammi Johnson, Tony Johnson (Cherri), Leroy Cosbie, Shane Wigginton (Amanda), LaToya Johnson, Destiny Snyder, four sisters- Effie Goodloe, Georgia Johnson, Mary Johnson, Jeanette Thorne, four brothers- Milton Johnson, Jimmy Johnson, Charles Ray Johnson, Enis Johnson, Jr., 22 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, host of nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents- Enis and Elsie Martin Johnson, grandparents-Jim and Rosella Martin and Charles and Georgia Wynn, brother-Robert Ezell Johnson, sister Dessie Aquita Alexander, his son- Brandon Johnson, and two granddaughters- Brittany Colburn and Katarina Southward.
Pallbearers will be Shane Wigginton, Roy Lee Cosbie, Terrance Johnson, Jordan Gandy, Chandler Gandy, Jaylon Powell, Greg Allen. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews and cousins Visitation will be Monday, April 3, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Mississippi.
