No stopping Pride of the Tribe

Once again, it seems that no one can stop The Pride of the Tribe. The band traveled to Muscle Shoals, Alabama last Saturday. The band got all 1s in the rankings, as well as best in class drum major, best in class color guard, best in class percussion, 3rd place in class, and the most entertaining band of the night award. This just gives them even more momentum as they head for state championships in Pearl later in the month. As always, we wish Mr. Strom and his band the best of luck.
TC's playoff run ends at Caledonia
Sadly, volleyball’s playoff run came to an end last week. On Tuesday, the Lady Braves took on Kosciusko in the 2nd round of the playoffs. It was pure domination, as they won the game 3-0. This sent them to the round of 8, where Caledonia awaited them.
Caledonia answered the call, jumping out and winning the first set. TC fought back, but after a couple of controversial calls the Lady Braves dropped set 2. Then in set 3, a couple of serve-receive errors and a couple more controversial calls ended the game, 3-0.
So the Lady Braves playoff run falls short in the round of 8. Nevertheless, this team was very impressive all through the season. With most of the team returning, the Lady Braves are sure to make another run at the 4A state championship next year.
Booker & Hemphill grabs highlight of Shannon game
Football falls at home once again, this time to the Shannon Pirates. The final score read 46-6. Shannon always seemed like they were one step ahead of the Braves all night. However, the Braves did manage to get a score. This was empowered by a miraculous grab by wide receiver Chase Booker at the end of the first quarter, followed by another excellent grab by wide receiver Landon Hemphill for a TD. The Braves will try to use the positives to gain momentum where they will host Mooreville in the final home game of the year.
