FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES
The Town of Burnsville (OWNER) requests proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide engineering services on an as needed basis for the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Mississippi Municipality & County Water Infrastructure (MCWI) Grant Program.
You are invited to submit three (3) copies of a proposal, in accordance with this request, by mail or hand-delivered to: David Nixon, Mayor, Town of Burnsville, by 5 p.m. September 15, 2022. Selection of an Engineer will be based on the criteria established in this legal advertisement. Engineer(s) shall not submit any cost or price information with their proposals. Engineer(s) should submit complete proposals sufficient for final selection of the most qualified Engineer. The Engineer will be responsible for assisting with project funding applications including the preparation of facility plan(s), if necessary, and, if awarded, the selected Engineer will provide all engineering services through project closeout in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1) prepare plans and specifications; 2) distribute bid documents; 3) assist in bid opening and prepare bid tabulation; 4) assist in the execution of construction contracts; 5) hold pre-construction conference; and 6) perform construction inspection including periodic reports to the OWNER and approve all payment requests.

The OWNER reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals.
The OWNER will award a contract with the qualified individual or firm whose proposal has the highest number of cumulative points issued by the selection committee and determined to be the most advantageous to the OWNER. The contract will include scope and extent of work and other essential requirements. The contract will be on a fixed price basis. The OWNER has the authority to terminate the selection at any time.

RESOLUTION ADOPTING LIQUOR ORDINANCE FOR THE TOWN OF BURNSVILLE, MISSISSIPPI
AMENDMENT
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Burnsville passed and adopted a RESOLUTION ADOPTING LIQUOR ORDINANCE FOR THE TOWN OF BURNSVILLE, MISSISSIPPI on the 4th day of June 2013; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Mississippi Administrative Code §35.II.2.04 the prohibited hours and days are subject to specific amendment by order of the Mississippi Department of Revenue in response to a petition by the Town requesting approval of alternate hours and/or Sunday sales; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Burnsville, at their scheduled Board meeting on the 4th day of August, 2022 introduced the proposed amendment to the Liquor Ordinance in writing and adopted the same on the 4th day of August, 2022.
THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the Town of Burnsville that the Liquor Ordinance for the Town of Burnsville, Mississippi be amended as follows:

It is further provided that in the event New Year’s Eve falls on a Sunday, on-premises permittees, including clubs with a State permit, may remain open until 1:00 a.m., January 1st.

You are summoned to appear and defend against the Complaint for Partition Real Property and Other Relief filed against you in this action at 9 o’clock a.m. on the 12th day of October, 2022, in the Pontotoc County Chancery Courtroom, in Pontotoc, Mississippi, and in case of your failure to appear and defend a judgment will be entered against you for the money or other things demanded in the motion and petitions.
