Johnny Keith Duncan, 77, passed into his eternal home on Sunday, September 3rd, 2023 at his home in Glen, Mississippi. Johnny, formally from Memphis, Tennessee, was born in Crawfordsville, Arkansas on June 13th, 1946, the son of J.W. and Opal Duncan. At the age of 19, he married the love of his life, Linda Duncan on October 1st, 1965. Through their union, they welcomed three children, four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren whom he greatly cherished. He attended Westside High School in Memphis, Tennessee, was a member of the Tennessee National Guard, and retired from Grisham Corporation in Arlington, Tennessee. He attended Chapel Hill Methodist Church in Tishomingo County, Mississippi. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Johnny. He enjoyed time with his family, fishing, hunting, and Alabama football. He had an unbelievably green thumb and experienced our Creator in nature. He was preceded in death by his father, J.W. Duncan, mother, Opal Duncan, son, Randy Gwin and sister, Ann Humphries. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Linda Duncan, son, Keith Duncan, daughter, Gwin Sain, granddaughters, Brittany Hicks (Alex), Kristina Wilkerson (Jacob), Jordyn Barnes (Cody), and Natalie Duncan, great grandchildren, Brody Hicks, Norah Hicks, Malakai Wilkerson, Anastasia Barnes, Silas Wilkerson, and Elowyn Hicks, brother, Louis Duncan (Carolyn), and sisters, Sharon Cordell and Judy James. Services were held on Saturday, September 9th at High Point Funeral and Crematorium, located at 3788 Summer Avenue Memphis, Tennessee. There was a family viewing at 11:30am and Visitation from 12-1:00pm. Funeral service followed visitation. Burial was on Monday, September 11th at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery, Highway 51 North Millington, Tennessee at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
