Janet Lynn Segars, 58, of Iuka, Mississippi, died on Friday, October 6, 2023, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. Ms. Segars ("Lynn") was a member of Iuka United Methodist Church. Lynn was born in Amory, Mississippi, spent her younger years in Athens, Georgia, and attended Millsaps College and the University of Mississippi. She was self-employed as an attorney and was a Guardian Ad Litem for abused and neglected children. In her free time, Lynn loved the game Bunco and got together with her friends to play often.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Mark Segars; her father, Charles Johnson, Sr. (Jean); her children, Julia Anne Segars and James Hampton Segars; her siblings, Charles Johnson, Jr., and Julia Elizabeth Johnson; her brother-in-law, Scott Segars (Diane); her sister-in-law, Leigh Segars; her step-sisters Julie Anderson and Jennifer Taylor (John); her cousin and good friend, Mary Ellen Nelson (Bruce); and a host of other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gwendolyn Johnson; and her mother and father-in-law; Martha and Kelly Segars, Sr.

Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. A visitation and memorial service, officiated by Rev. Nicholas B. Phillips, is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Honorary Pallbearers are Dana Degraw, Connie Dexter, Lora Greene, Jamie Henry, Denise Lockler, Jackie Meyer, Beverly Russo, Terry Shea, Kyna Talley, and Kathy Wallace. Special thanks to the physicians and staff at West Clinic of Corinth, Kirklin Clinic of U.A.B., Magnolia Regional Health Center, and the Segars Clinic for the loving care they provided for her.
