Tishomingo County Soil and Water Conservation District and the Prentiss County Soil and Water Conservation District hosted The North Area Mississippi Association Conservation Districts at J.P Coleman Park. The meeting was attended by Conservation District Office through out the area.
Harold Lomenick welcomed the attendees. After the prayer and the flag prestation from members of the Mississippi American Legion Post 15 in Iuka. Mr. Ralph Farr lead the crowd in the Star-Spangled Banner. Mr. Lomenick also had the pleasure of presenting Mr. Paul Nunley WWII Medal from the Non-Commissioned Officers Association.
The meeting’s theme was Healthy Soils Healthy Life for the Soil stewardship for 2022. The day also highlighted accomplishment from the district conservation office and the Natural Resources Conservation Services.
Lunch was served by the Front Porch in Booneville Mississippi. Catfish with all the fixings was enjoyed by all. Before the meal we all enjoyed a song by Audrey Williams.
