With “Meet the Braves” in the rear view mirror, the Braves football team can now look forward to facing another team in a gametime scenario, when the Braves host a jamboree this Friday, August 19th, against Alcorn Central.
The Braves showed promise in their open practice last Friday, with everybody on the team being able to show off their skills to the county.
Senior quarterback Chandler Williams seems to be adjusting well with his new role as he showed off his scrambling abilities along with his arm. The Braves opponent for Friday night is the 3A Alcorn Central Golden Bears. Despite not playing each other last season, the Braves and the Bears have faced off several times in the past years, and Friday promises to add another chapter to the rivalry.
