Senior golfer Bruce McClung, signed his letter of intent on Friday to continue playing golf after high school at Meridian Community College in Meridian, Mississippi.
Bruce has participated in the Mississippi Junior Golf Association and United States Golf Association, playing many tournaments across the South over the past years. Bruce wants to extend a special thank you to his family, especially his grandparents, who have devoted the last few summers to spectating these tournaments. He was the 2021 MJGA player of the year in his class, and has been a member of the Belmont golf team since junior high.
As a sophomore, Bruce was a member of the 3A State Championship team and placed third individually. As a junior, Bruce was a member of the 2A State Runner-Up team and was silver medalist individually. Bruce looks forward to his final season as a Cardinal this spring and hopes to bring another state championship back to Belmont.
Bruce is the son of Jody and Laura McClung of Tishomingo.
