Becky Rye Cobb, 59, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Thursday, July 13, 2023, at her residence. Becky was a lifetime member of the Iuka Baptist Church. She devoted her life to the education of children and spent the majority of the last 33 years as a kindergarten teacher at Iuka Elementary School where she was affectionately referred to as “The Queen”. She was born to be an educator, and her influence will live on in the many children whose lives she touched. Becky enjoyed spending time at the beach and having fun in the sun. She also loved spending time with her family and friends and supporting her Ole Miss Rebels.

She is survived by her husband, Joey Cobb; her children, Sara Beth Pind (Jacob) and Jake Cobb; two sisters, Brenda Dawson and Benji Rye Stamper (Rusty); a half-sister, Anna Parker; three grandchildren, Ryen Pind, Cason Pind, and James Pind; two uncles, Eddie Carson and Earl Carson; one aunt, Brenda Tumlin; and a host of other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Linda Lou Rye; and a half-brother, Steve Rye.

Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 16, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Phil Dawson. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Keith Carson, Kenny Carson, Blake Dawson, Drew Dawson, Dalton Wright, and Carson Smith. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Saturday, July 15, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
