Tishomingo County High School Students competed in FBLA State Convention

This past week Amy Dotson and Kelly Hammond, sponsors for the Tishomingo County chapter of Future Business Leaders of America carried 33 high school students to state competition in Tupelo, Miss.

These students competed in various business categories against other FBLA students from all over the state.

Out of the 33 students who competed, 29 placed in the competition; out of those 29 students, 25 have the opportunity to compete at the National FBLA conference June 29 thru July 2 in Orlando, Florida.

The following is a list of winners and the competition subject area:

1st Place Winners: Danica Calley, Cyber Security; Elle Rhodes, Computer Problem Solving; Cohen Castile, Introduction to Parliamentary Procedure; Gracie Crowe, Haley Lowrey, and JaMyiah McGee, Marketing; Kaden Graves, Networking Infrastructures; Garett Long, Organizational Leadership; and Josie Wisdom, Word Processing.

2nd Place Winners: Spencer White, Insurance & Risk Management; Graham Davis, Introduction to Marketing Concepts; Cela-Cathryn Taylor, Public Speaking; and Baylon Middleton, Cooper Tapp, and Matthew Willis, Sports & Entertainment Management.

3rd Place Winners: Hannah Lawson, Advertising; Liza Henderson, Business Ethics; Teagan Cutshall and Clark McClung, Entrepreneurship; and Camryn McGuff, Introduction to Financial Math.

4th Place Winners: Ella Grace McKinney, Accounting 1; Zoe Dawson & Molly Luttrell, Hospitality & Event Management; Eli Clingan, Introduction to Business Procedures; and Sayben South, Securities and Investments.

5th Place Winners: Abigail Robinson, Impromptu Speaking; and Lilly Swann, Introduction to FBLA.

6th Place Winners: Madelyn Robinson, Introduction to Public Speaking; and Destini Simmons, Journalism.
