TC Activities pick up the pace as Spring approaches!

Happy Valentine’s Braves! To start the Valentine’s season, the TCHS Bravettes are hosting a Valentine’s Semi-Formal on February the 11th. The cost will be $15 at the door. The dance will be held at the Tishomingo County Fairgrounds from 8 to 11 p.m.

TCHS Anchor Club is also having a valentine’s fundraiser. Candy-Grams are $1 and can be purchased any time before valentines. You or the person you choose to send it to will receive it with a piece of candy on Valentine’s Day. 

The TCHS Beauty Review is currently dated for Saturday March 25th. If you are interested, please contact the Braves Cheer Booster Club. 

The TCHS Prom is set to be held on April 29th at Springhill in Corinth Ms. 

TCHS Graduation Will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 10:30 AM at the crossroads arena in Corinth MS. 

Gatorade Student of the Month goes to Reese Moore and Connor Bullen. Reese is a member of the TCHS basketball, volleyball, and track team. Connor is a member of the TCHS baseball team. Congratulations to those outstanding athletes!

Performing Artists of the Month are Isaiah Robertson and Eliza Cavness!

A special congratulations to the TCHS band members Eli Emerson, Anna Jane Bacham, and Brianna Tinsley on making the Northeast Mississippi band directors association band clinic this past weekend at Northeast Mississippi Community College!

The TCHS powerlifting team also had a very successful weekend. Aubri Massengill placed first in her division, and Annsleigh Fair and Kaley Latch both earned their tickets to the North Half competition with second place wins.

FBLA had a very successful go at the district competition this past week. Many came home with awards and will be advancing to the state competition held in Jackson.

Senior Night

This past Friday TCHS held senior night for the basketball, Bravettes, and bowling teams. Those recognized seniors were Halle Durham, Lexi Kennedy, Lila Grace Sanderson, Ansley Rae, Emily Watkins, Levi Dawson, Connor Bullen, and Sam Barnett for basketball. Bravette seniors include Eliza Cavness. 

Bowling seniors are Carter Rickman, Silas South, Eden Wood, Jada Dean, Arabella Patterson, and Avery Oszment.  

Senior Information

The April ACT will be given at TCHS on Saturday, April 15, 2023. The deadline to sign-up is March 10. register at ww.act.org. If you receive free/reduced breakfast or lunch please stop by the counselor’s office for free waiver. This is the last chance to meet the ACT sub scores for the diploma endorsement requirements. Those requirements include Dash distinguished endorsement- English: 18, math: 22. Academic endorsement- English: 17, math: 19

WorkKeys Scores

WorkKey scores are now available. Certificates for those who scored bronze are available for pick up in the counselors’ office if you do not have college and career readiness. If you are on career tech endorsement you need a silver level or higher. That means four or higher on all three parts of the test.

Yearbooks are $50 and could be purchased in the office or on the TCHS homepage. 

Ads are still available for sale. If you purchased an ad, please send Mrs. Taylor the information as soon as you can.

Cap and gown fee which is currently $80 goes up to $130 on March 1. Purchase in the office or call Balfour at 662-286-0235. 

Final make-up day for senior pictures is February 16. 

Community service opportunities

If you are in need of community service hours, please see Miss Sabrina Spoon regarding an opportunity to help with Special Olympics.

The Tennessee State Parks are having a Weed Wrangle on Saturday, March 4. You will sign up for the event using the link. If you have any questions, please let Mrs. Riley know.  Participants will meet at the park office (second building after you turn into the park on the right).  The event is scheduled from 12:00pm - 4:00pm on March 4th.  Thank you for passing the information along to students!  This should be an educational and fun way to gain some service hours!
