Nona Morton Robertson, age 85, of Forrest City, Arkansas, died Monday, May 22, 2023, in Wynne, Arkansas.
She was born May 8, 1938, in Midway, Mississippi, and was the daughter of Claude Eugene Morton and Ophelia Mae Patterson Morton. She was valedictorian of Holcut High School in 1955, and graduated from Northeast Mississippi Junior College. She held several positions with General Adjustment Bureau in Memphis.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Carol A. Robertson of Forrest City, three daughters; Brenda Robertson Kocher, and husband, Greg, of Lexington, Kentucky, Kathy Robertson Clark, and husband, Barry, of Wynne, and Rebecca Robertson Vinson, of Wynne, one granddaughter, Erin Vinson Powell, and husband, John Richard, of Nashville, Tennessee, one great-granddaughter, Eden Powell of Nashville, three nieces; Donna Robertson of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Denise Morton Murray, and husband, Charles, of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, Dorene Morton Hughes, and husband, Bobby, of Hartsville, South Carolina, and one nephew, Michael Morton Torres, and wife, Tracy, of Atlanta, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Derrell Morton of Luka, Mississippi, one sister, Glenda Gail Morton Torres of Atlanta, Georgia, and one son-in-law, William Vinson of Forrest City.
Services for Mrs. Robertson were held Graveside, May 25th, at Loughridge Cemetery in Colt. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. You may log on to stevensfuneralhome.net for the online registry.
