David Owen "Dave" Pugh, 59, of Iuka, Mississippi, died on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. Dave was a loyal friend and kind to all he met. You could not meet Dave and forget him. He always made those around him laugh, and he will be missed more than words can say. He was a solid stone in his family’s structure that is now weak, and their hearts are broken over the loss of their beloved Dave. He was a master of everything, and there was not a single thing he could not do. He had a great love for the ocean and was a life-long, devoted fan of Mississippi State. He really enjoyed working in his yard, and he was so proud of it.

Dave is survived by his wife, Tammy Skinner Pugh; his daughter, Tiffany Stevens; his stepchildren, Kania Colby and John Irvine Barnes; his grandchildren, Jackson Stevens, Claire Stevens, and Mia Colby; his sisters, Karen Ann Taylor and Sandra Kay Hayes (Glenn); his nieces and nephews, Stephanie Renee McIver, Scott Alan McIver, Jeffery Charles McGee, Caitlin Marie Edwards, Jonathan Davis Edwards, Dorothy Darlene Skinner, Josie Delane Skinner, and William Lee Skinner; his great-nephew, Bryce Hawkins; and a host of other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Faye Parks; his father, Ronald Herbert Pugh; and his brother-in-law, Sammy Taylor.

Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, was entrusted with the arrangements. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. Interment followed in Bishop Cemetery. Pallbearers were William Skinner, Joseph Skinner, William Lee Skinner, James Colby, Jackson Stevens, and Dustin Lambert. Honorary pallbearer was John Irvine Barnes.
