GOLDEN, Miss - Local officials and sheriff’s office staff joined Sheriff Jamie Stuart to cut the ribbon for the Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Office South Precinct.
Sheriff Stuart reported that “we thank the board of supervisors for helping us to establish an office in the south end of the county. This office will enable our officers to respond more quickly to calls in the area and file reports more timely. The office also provides an ideal location to coordinate and partner with the Belmont and Golden Police Departments and other law enforcement agencies.”
Mayor Sherry Shook said “we welcome the new sheriff’s office and pledge that we will diligently work with Sheriff Stuart to serve and protect our citizens.”
District 5 Supervisor Greg Collier stressed that “I made it my goal to make county services more accessible to our residents. On behalf of the Tishomingo County Board of Supervisors, we thank Sheriff Stuart for his willingness to set up an office in Golden and for his partnership with local police departments.”
