Katie Beth Tennison Forakis chooses Team Kelly Clarkson on The Voice

Local artist Katie Beth Forakis from Savannah/Counce, Tennessee was featured on and made it past her Blind Audition Tuesday on Season 23 of The Voice, advancing with Team Kelly Clarkson. She performed an acoustic piano version of Ghost by Justin Bieber that wowed all the coaches.
Katie Beth is the oldest daughter of Kerry Tennison, engineer for Tishomingo County Electric Power Association, and older sister to three younger Tennison girls: Caroline, Claire, and Emma who have all attended IMS and TCHS.
She started singing from a young age in her church where her mom played piano. When Katie Beth was only 15, she lost her mom unexpectedly. After her mom died, Katie Beth had to step up in her role as a big sister to her three younger sisters. Her family encouraged and shaped her as a singer.
When Katie Beth first met her now-husband, Demetri, their shared love of music was the thing that brought them together. The two now lead worship, write, perform and record music as a couple. Both Katie Beth and Demetri teach instrumental and voice lessons and share their passion for music with members of their small community. She was the last pick for Kelly Clarkson as Team Kelly is now filled.
Coaches Blake Shelton, Niall Horan, Chance the Rapper and Kelly Clarkson all vie to discover and coach the next singing phenomenon on the first night of Battles NEXT WEEK on THE VOICE, Monday March 27 (8/7c) on NBC.
