James Thomas "Pete" Feltman, 85, of Huntsville, AL, died on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at his residence.
Pete grew up in Iuka, MS and attended Holcut High School, Class of 1957. Thereafter, he served in the Mississippi Army National Guard. In 1959, he married Betty Jean Castleberry, his lifelong companion and best friend. After moving to Memphis, he worked in electronics and later owned and operated Electronics Unlimited for over 30 years. Pete was a member of the First Apostolic Church in New Hope, AL, and previously attended Bethel UPC in Memphis, TN. Pete loved gospel music and concerts, going to the Smoky Mountains, visiting with classmates and church friends, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his daughters, Christen Blackburn (Matt) and Jennifer Barry (Zach); his grandchildren, Claire and Grey Blackburn and Paisley and Clarke Barry; his sisters, Virginia Walker (Joe) and Bobbie Jourdan (Randel); his nieces, Jessica Powell (Justin), Tammie Poling (Kevin), and Rogenia Kiddy (Greg); his nephews, Randy Jourdan (Sandy), Lanny Jourdan, Mike Feltman (Kathy), and Jeffrey Feltman.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Betty Jean Feltman; his parents, Duggar and Nellie Kate Feltman; his brothers, Gene Feltman and David Feltman; and his sisters, Shirley Parker and Margie Forsythe.
Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Services are scheduled for Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Bro. Ron Clutts and Bro. Nathan Webb. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matt Blackburn, Zach Barry, Mike Feltman, Victor Jourdan, Johnathan Poling, and Joe Walker, with honorary pallbearer, Justin Powell.
