IUKA, Miss - When the kids return to school in the fall, there is a lot of talk about what all they did over the summer. Answers will range from nothing to interesting travels. Few elementary school kids will tell how they spent their summer working hard to be the best. That is how Mollie Beth Robbins spent her summer.

Mollie Beth Robbins, 4th Grader at Iuka Elementary School spent her 4th of July holiday at the Lazy E Ranch in Guthrie, Oklahoma at the National Little Britches Rodeo Finals competing with and against the best of the best rodeo kids across the Nation.

In order to get there Mollie Beth spent the last year competing with the Tennessee Little Britches Rodeo Association Franchise chasing qualifications for Finals.

When the season was complete Mollie Beth qualified in all four events that are offered in her age group and even won the title of Tennessee Little Britches Association All Around Little Wrangler. This is a title that is awarded to the high point cowboy or cowgirl in each age division.

Mollie Beth went into Nationals competing in three of the four qualified events which included barrel racing, pole bending, and goat tail untying.

Going into Nationals she was sitting 8th in the Nation in goat tail untying. When all was said and done Mollie Beth was just shy of the short go but that hasn’t stopped her from coming home and continuing with her hard work as she looks forward to the Rodeo Season ahead.

Other achievements Mollie Beth has received in the last year include; TN Little Wrangler Goat Tail Untying champion, TN Little Wrangler Flag Racing Champion, TN Little Wrangler Pole Bending Reserve Champion, and North Mississippi Cow Puncher 6-9 All Around Champion

“I have loved rodeo as long as I can remember. Rodeo is a sport of me against myself. It is measured by how hard I work both in the arena and out and the care I give to myself and my horses,” Mollie Beth said.

Mollie Beth would like to invite everyone to experience rodeo and get a taste of something she loves so much. For anyone interested in coming to watch, North Mississippi Cow Punchers is an Association located right here in Iuka with rodeos hosted at the Iuka Fairgrounds.
