Professional photographer Jenny Miller of Red Bay, AL, and photographer and model Shelby Smith of Belmont, MS recently traveled to New Orleans to take part in an exclusive photography workshop and shootout. The event, held at the historic Race + Religious, provided an opportunity for the duo to refine their skills, expand their portfolios, and network with fellow creatives.

Expanding Opportunities in North Mississippi & North Alabama

Beyond enhancing their own work, Miller and Smith’s experience in New Orleans served as inspiration for the future. Their goal is to bring similar workshops and shootouts to North Mississippi, North Alabama, and surrounding areas, giving photographers and models opportunities to collaborate, learn, and build their portfolios closer to home.

“We want to not only grow as artists but also begin creating more opportunities for others in our region,” Smith shared. “Workshops like this provide a space for both photographers and models to hone their craft, connect with industry professionals, and gain experience in styled shoots.”
