Tuesday night, the republican party held their monthly meeting at Cream & Sugar in Iuka. Bubba Carpenter, Daniel Sparks, and Tracy Arnold spoke on several different topics and how things have changed for the better during their terms. One very important topic was our state’s financial situation. We currently have $700 million in our “rainy day” fund. And have paid off all debt over the last four years. Teachers also got the largest pay raise ever over the last year, reported panel members.
The next meeting will be held June 27 at The Bridge Family Life Center in Burnsville. The public is welcome to attend.
