On Thursday afternoon, Casey Johnson was sworn in by Circuit Court Clerk, Rebecca Oaks.

Johnson’s wife, Brandy, held his mother’s Bible as he took the oath while other family members stood by in support of his new position with the city.

Mayor Kenny Carson was on hand along with Vice Mayor Johnny Southward.

Johnson received his official plaque to be placed at his seat.

He wasted no time getting to work as the board had a working meeting on Thursday night.
