Candidates from Golden to the Tennessee state line were at the Tishomingo County Circuit Clerk’s office bright and early Tuesday to file qualifying papers for the 2023 county elections.
Those who submitted papers will be reviewed and “qualified” by their respective political parties, so this is a preliminary or unofficial list, reminds circuit clerk Josh McNatt. Independent candidates will be reviewed by the county election commission.
The primary elections will be August 8th, with any necessary runoffs August 29th. The general election will be Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Qualifying is open through February 1st, 5 p.m. Call the clerk’s office at 662-423-7026 for more information on qualifications for any office.
