BELMONT, Miss - Belmont has a new star, and it's not your usual furry friend. A potbelly pig, affectionately dubbed “Seymore” by locals, has been spotted trotting around town, turning heads and bringing smiles wherever he goes. Over the past few weeks, residents have been captivated by this unexpected visitor, sharing photos and updates of his latest whereabouts on social media.
Seymore seems to be enjoying a grand tour of Belmont, making stops at some popular spots. He was first seen near Smith's Body Shop, casually sniffing around and checking out the scene. From there, he made his way to Cole's Smokehouse. The pig didn't stop there—locals reported sightings at the Mexican Restaurant and even Big Star. He sure gets around, as he has been quite the distance all down HWY 25 and Main Street in town on a daily basis.
While it’s unclear whether Seymore was dumped or simply wandered away from home, the friendly pig has quickly become a local celebrity. Belmont residents have embraced the excitement, eagerly posting updates on social media whenever the pig makes an appearance, and it's become a bit of a game to see who can spot Seymore next.
For now, Seymore continues to wander the streets of Belmont, bringing a bit of fun and joy to everyone who encounters him. Keep your eyes peeled—you never know where Seymore will pop up next!
